How to create and retrieve the seasonal ads.

By default SEASONAL ADS is selected otherwise you have to choose SEASONAL ADS button to go to promotion creation page.

Create Ad

Select Campaign Name from drop down on the page.

• Choose single campaign.

• Choose multiple campaigns if want to create multi campaign ads.

• Choose Paused Campaign by ✔️ select box beside Campaign Name drop down Include paused campaigns

Select Ad group Name from drop down (optional).

• If you select one campaign from Campaign Name drop down then only you will get option to select Create adgroup specific ads option clickable.

• Choose single or multiple ad group from Ad group Name drop down.

Note that if you are selecting specific ad group then that ad will be created at ad group level OR if you do not choose ad group then ad will be created at campaign level

Enter desired Start Date and End Date for time period you want to show your ads.

Enter Headline 1, Headline 2 and Headline 3 in the respective fields according to your ad data.

✨ Healthy reminder - Headline 3 is optional but surely recommended.

Enter Description 1 and Description 2 in the respective fields according to your ad data.

✨ Healthy reminder - Description 2 is optional but surely recommended.

Enter the URL of the product or section of products for which you want to create ads in Final URL box.

The entered URL will be checked at the same time and if not valid will show the error message as_ or if valid will not show any error message at all.

Enter Path 1 and/or Path 2 in respective fields.

✨ Healthy reminder - Both are optional fields so you can skip them but still they are recommended.

Once you done with all above things, here you go. You can click on Preview and Create Ad button to get preview of your ad. The sample is shown below as_

Here on preview of your ad, you have two options_

1. If all good then you can click Create ad button

   or

2. If you think anything can be improved then you can Go back and edit/remove the fields.

After successful creation of your ad you will get the success message or in case of failure you will get failure message respectively.

Retrieve Ad

You have two options in Retrieve Ad's tab.

• Fetch all ads from the account at all levels viz. campaign level or adgroup level.

• Fetch specific ads depending on the selected values from drop down.

If you want to fetch all ads click on the button Fetch all ads from the account

🔓 Until you select any campaign, Fetch specific ad button will be disabled and will not be clickable.

If you want to see only any campaign or ad group specific ad,

• Select Campaign Name from drop down menu.

Note that for retrieve purpose multi select option is not available. So you have to choose only one campaign at a time.

• As soon as you select any campaign, Show adgroup specific ad button will be clickable.

• If you want to see campaign level along with ad group level ads under selected campaign, just do not go for Show adgroup specific ad . Just you have select campaign and click Fetch specific ad button.

🔓 Until if you ✔️ on Show ad group specific ad button, Fetch all ads from the account button will be disabled and will not be clickable.

• If you want to see only ad group level ad under some campaign and ad group, select Ad group Name from drop down after selecting Campaign Name. After selecting just click Fetch specific ads button to see the ads.

• Following are examples of view of retrieved ads as_

Remember there is option to Include paused campaigns in Campaign Name select drop down. you can choose to view paused campaign ads as well.

You get options to Stop or Update seasonal ads.

• Stop ad - If you click stop button, the scheduled ad will be removed or ongoing ad will be removed immediately.

When you stop seasonal ad, the tool will go through the campaign under which that ad was scheduled and will enable all regular ads after successful removal of seasonal ad.

🖊️ Quick note - It will only enable regular ad after stopping seasonal ad if no other seasonal ad is present in that campaign.

• Update ad - If you want to modify some fields in ongoing or future scheduled ad, you can click on Update ad button.

  • You can also extend the End date of that seasonal ad.

  • You can change URL appropriately as well.

• When you click on Update button, it will go to Create Ad tab will all the fields populated according to ad where you have clicked update.

  • You have to change the things which you want to change and then click update. It will get update and Successful or Failed notification will be shown on the page.

• You also have Cancel button if at any point you want to go back while updating ad.

After successful removal of ad, that ad will be vanished from the table and from google ads also. 😉
